ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION Ph.D. PROGRAM

  1. Candidates must have a Master’s degree with Thesis in any area. Candidates must choose a field when they apply for the programme. The fields that may be chosen are Organization and Management, Marketing, Finance, Decision Science and Production Management,
  2. The minimum score required from ALES (Combined score) is 60,
  3. The minimum score from YDS is 70. Applicants can also provide equivalent score from one of the foreign language tests recognized as equivalent by the Inter-University Council,
  4. Foreign applicants must have a minimum C1 level of Turkish language (certified by TÖMER),
  5. A written exam involving questions about the chosen field is given,
  6. Applicants will be interviewed,
  7. Applications will be assessed based on the evaluation criteria given below.

EVALUATION CRIATERIA OF APPLICATIONS FOR Ph.D. PROGRAMS:

Applications by both Turkish and foreign applicants will be assessed based on 50% of score from ALES or equivalent exam (65 % for those with an undergraduate degree), 15% of master GPA and 35% of written and oral exams. Those applicants with 60 or higher assessment score and 50 or higher score from each of written or oral exams will be considered as successful. Successful candidates will be ranked based on assessment score and placed in programs according to available quota.
